Is Nirvana overrated?
The question might depend on who you ask!
Most people involved in the grunge scene would consider Nirvana to be the "face" or the "grandfathers" of grunge. Their mass success and quick rise to fame, with distributing only 3 worldwide albums, made them the most iconic grunge band of all time, but unfortunately, being iconic can come with a few negative impacts.
Becoming worldwide-renowned artists had everybody talking, even those who didn't listen to their music, and soon everyone was wearing or showing off merch despite not knowing the history. The term "poser" became a popular word because of those who "represent" but also know nothing.

I think Nirvana is considered overrated. I definitely skip most of their songs on my playlists
